Blaire - Eleven Months

Blaire was eleven months last Monday. I can hardly even believe it. She was just born a second ago! Month eleven was probably the least eventful in a long time.  We spent more weekends at home with the cooling weather.  It has also been smoky out from nearby fires and it's been no fun to be outside.

Peanut is still pretty tiny but I know she is growing. I will be curious to see where she falls next month. She is eating great. She loves any and all food but baby food. She wants the good stuff. She has four teeth still so she just gums down whatever she can get her hands on.  We don't hesitate to give her to much of anything anymore.

Her walk is turning into baby run. She tries to get away from you as fast as she can, it's pretty comical to watch her tiny little body laugh and run away from you when you play with her.  I still think she is pretty advanced as far as her motor movements go.  From the walking and running, climbing, pinching, clapping, waving, and she even tries to put on her shoes.

She's a busy tiny girl. I can't wait to see what the next month will bring. She is such a ham baby and we all love her to bits. Now, I have a party to go plan.

Blaire - Ten Months

Late as usual to write a monthly update.  We are busy. Three kids, it's no joke! There are a lot of mouths to feed, and bodies to clean, and questions to answer, and books to read. By the time we get it all done its bed time for everyone and the computer stays mostly tucked away.  I can't complain really, for the most part adding a third baby hasn't been any harder and has changed our family dynamic for the better, there just aren't enough hours in a day.

Blaire is busy too.  At nine months and four days she took her first steps and every day after she took more and more until she was full blown walking.  Sometimes she will resort back to a crawl just because she trusts it more and she can get where she is going faster.

We spent most of the month on the lake with a friends boat, until we decided that we all love the water so much we went and bought our own.  The kids truly enjoy it and Blaire like always just seems to go with the flow of whatever we are doing.  She likes the boat, the water, the sand, all of it.

She is still tiny.  Fitting into the swimsuit she got for Easter, most 3 to six month clothes and six month sizes.  Nine months is still to big and to long for her.  She is eating like a champ, she tries everything that we eat and likes the majority of it. I haven't weighed her but I think she is putting on some pounds. We still have time before that twelve month check.  Month eleven is right around the corner so maybe we will sneak her on the scale and sneak her some after dinner treats just in case.

Blaire - Nine months

I’m so very far behind on this post. Time is just flashing by this summer. Month nine was more of the same with our family. Lots of time outside camping! Blaire just rolls with it as always! Happy constantly!

We didn’t have her nine month check up until last week and she is still tiny. In fact she has dropped under the one percentile in the both height and weight. She weighed 13 pounds four ounces and was 25 inches long. Almost the same size as her four month old cousin. Hopefully she pops back up on the charts though, is she doesn’t we will be headed for lab work at her 12 month check up.

I’m always surprised to learn she is little because she is a great eater. She loves food and wants anything we are having as well. She is still in a combo of formula and breast milk but I think this will probably be the last month of that as she is to hungry and this momma can’t keep up.

While she might be little on the charts she is advanced in everything else. Her motor movements are fantastic. She is solid on her feet and will be walking in no time. She says hi, momma, and daddy. She can wave and girl can move to a beat.

Here’s to hoping she grows and keeps on smiling.

Blaire - Eight months

Baby cakes was eight months old last Sunday.  She is such a ham, constantly smiling and people are always commenting on what a happy baby she is.  We've spent the majority of our time either camping, working on the house (trying to wrap up some projects), or at Beau's baseball games. She handles all of it with ease. Never quick to fuss about anything other than a hungry belly or tired eyes.

She popped her first two teeth this month, Father's day weekend the first came through and then the next a few days after.  She never complained to much about it, the thing that seemed to be the most affected was her sleep.  She continues to drool profusely so I'm sure more aren't far behind.

She is growing but we get just as many comments on how tiny she is as we do how happy she is.  I'm not certain on her height or weight but we will see what next month brings with our tiny girl. She is still as busy as ever crawling all over the place, standing on things, walking with assistance, and trying her darndest to keep up with her brother and sister.

Blaire - Seven Months

Here we are closer to seven and a half months but life has been busy.  We started back at work and daycare last week and it's proved difficult to get back to our routines.  We still want to stay up to late and sleep in.  Blaire has done really well going back though.  I'm thankful for a provider that she loves.

Little peanut is still tiny, we didn't measure or weigh her this month but all of her clothes are fitting mostly the same.  She is eating more and more though. Since coming back to work and even a few weeks before she has been getting more formula.  Her momma can't keep up and girl is just hungry.  Sometimes I think her being petite is a blessing because it has her falling into all the same clothes and seasons as Blake was so she has a lot of hand me downs.

She is completely mobile now, which could be why she is so hungry.  She waves and says Hi, and babbles and smiles all the time still.  She doesn't have any teeth yet but she has had some really fussy days and I can tell they are bothering her. She also isn't sleeping very well right now. I can't figure out why.  Hopefully it is just a phase and she will be sleeping soundly again in no time.

Blaire went on her first family vacation this month too with a quick trip to Yellowstone. She trooped right along like always. Did great on the drive and in the camper.

This rest of the month is busy and she has already made some big changes.  Eight months here we come.

Blaire - Six Months

Blaire is half a year. How is that even possible. Six months came in the blink of an eye. I wanted to wait and write this after little miss had her six month check. It was May 15th and she is still little, she was 12 pounds 9 ounces and 24 inches long.  The one percentile.  The doctor said "well, someone has got to be down at the bottom." But he said she is perfectly fine and will probably just be a little person.

She continues to smile all the time and it seems like she does something new everyday.  She is mobile now, not exactly crawling more of a worming and she can go from her knees to sitting.  With how little she is it sometimes seems impossible that she is doing all the things she can do.

She has tried a lot of different solids now and the only thing she seems truly disgusted by are peas.  Girl after her momma's heart. She is getting a combo still of breast milk and formula, but man does she get exited when she sees her bottle.

Her nighttime sleep has been restless lately and I wonder if she isn't trying really hard to get teeth.  Could be a long couple of months; if she follows behind her brother and sister we have a few more months before they are actually through the gums. We have also been home still with the coronavirus closings and her routine just might be wacky right now.  It sounds like June will be back to normal work and daycare, we will see what that does to our routines. It will be bittersweet to go back. It has been fun to watch her change and grow.

If this week is any indicator she will be pulling herself up on everything in a matter of minutes and seven months will be soon be eight.

Blaire - Five Months

Blaire turned five months a few weeks ago, in COVID-19 quarantine. Life has definitely been crazy.  It is no easy task to be mom, teacher, and work from home employee.  We are all doing our best and trying to keep our grace and be grateful that we are healthy and safe but some days that is harder than others.

She was suppose to have her weight check on the ninth but we wanted to avoid the doctors office so we took some measurements and were able to call them in.  She was at 12 pounds 9 ounces and 23 and 3/4 inches long, big enough to avoid going in and trending up on the charts so all is good for now.  Still tiny, still in three month cloths but healthy and happy none the less. We hope she continues to grow for her six month check as well.

She has changed so so much over this last month I feel like I have lost track of everything new she has been doing.  She is so close to crawling, getting up high on her chest and her legs under her.  She has quite the planking skills.  She falls asleep holding your hand and wants to keep holding it which is the most precious thing and something I never want to forget.  She is still very happy and has the best giggles.

I hope by the time she hits her half birth we will be out of quarantine and we can get out of the house.  Shes ready to see some of the world...or maybe that is just mom.
