39 Weeks

Baby Size: Baby is the size of a honeydew melon this week.
Total weight gain: Total weight gain is somewhere between 21 and 22 pounds. It fluctuates depending on my water intake I think. The doctor did tell me my fluid levels were a little on the high side. That makes me wonder if this baby is really smaller than they are guessing.
Maternity clothes? Mostly trying to get by in leggings and sweat pants. Plus rotating through all of the longest shirts I have.
Stretch marks? Nothing new, but I do have an itchy belly.
Sleep: Sleep is meh. Between Mark snoring and just having to switch sides all night long from being uncomfortable it is just not great.
Best moment this week: Halloween was fun, even though Beau was sick with a tummy bug he perked up enough to trick or treat for a little while. We also had a great parent teacher conference on Thursday and that boy is making me one proud momma.
Miss Anything? Comfort. Coffee. Sleep.
Movement:  Yes, flopping from one side to the other. I feel like its a little late in the game for that but moving all the same.
Food cravings:  Nothing in particular.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Coffee is still kinda blah. Hopefully that goes away upon babies arrival.
Gender:  I have NO clue. I still have girls vibes a lot, but at the doctor Friday during my check up ultrasound I got hit with a very heavy case of boy.  I just don't know.
Labor Signs:  Some serious contractions every now and then.  Some painful, some not so much.  At my appointment I was "a good two centimeters" and 70 percent effaced. I think baby could show up at any point in time really.  My body is definitely trying to move this little one.
Symptoms: Sleepy, the worst heartburn of this whole pregnancy the last few weeks, pubic bone pain especially when I sneeze or cough. Some end of pregnancy anxiety has kicked in too.
Belly Button in or out? Out.
Wedding rings on or off? On unless I slack on drinking water.
Looking forward to: Meeting this babe.  Finding out gender, and finally seeing all these features that we have got to see a few more times than with Beau or Blake.  Also, seeing if this small belly is really the smallest baby of all. There is just so much unknown that I can't wait to find out and share.

38 Weeks

Baby Size: Baby is the size of a mini watermelon this week.
Total weight gain: Holding steady at 21.
Maternity clothes? Same stuff. I'm ready to fit into some other clothing.
Stretch marks? Nothing new.
Sleep: So so.  My shoulders have bothered me more than anything this week so I flop from side to side all night.
Best moment this week: Hearing Beau say "I Love you baby" to my belly. He is a great big brother. Also he lost his first tooth this week, it was fun but I also feel emotional thinking about how fast he's grown.
Miss Anything? Comfort, clothes that cover my belly.
Movement:  Yes, but this little peanut did give me a little scare this week. I felt like I couldn't feel much from Sunday to Tuesday so I moved my appointment up to Tuesday and the doctor ran a stress test. Of course when I got hooked up baby started moving like crazy and everything looked great.  I was worth it for the peace of mind to go a day early though.
Food cravings:  Afternoon sweet tooth for sure. Chewy candy one day. Nothing much else though.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Coffee is still just pretty blah which is unfortunate because it is cold in the mornings.
Gender:  I have no more guesses.
Labor Signs: No, but I have been increasingly more uncomfortable and have had some legit contractions here and there.  Also Braxton hicks that seem to be never ending.
Symptoms: Heart burn, full force this week. Thankfully that will be short lived.
Belly Button in or out? Out mostly.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Looking forward to: Last ultrasound on Friday and maybe even my last doctors appointment.  It's a busy week this week with the kids and Halloween so it will also be nice to get in some family time.

37 Weeks

Baby Size: Baby is the size of a canary melon this week. I've never had or seen one of those.
Total weight gain: 21 pounds. Feeling super large and waddley
Maternity clothes? Same ol' stuff. Try to make it the next few weeks.
Stretch marks? Nothing new.
Sleep: On and off. When its good it's good when it's bad it's bad. There is no in between.
Best moment this week: Mark got his elk so we have meat in the freezer and we had him home in time for this baby to get here instead of out hunting. I also got my hair down, getting ready for baby photos.
Miss Anything? Comfort, coffee, feeling strong.
Movement:  Yes, but really slowing down.
Food cravings:  Nothing really.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Coffee is still kind of blah. I drink it but it just still doesn't taste spectacular.
Gender:  Still mostly think girl, but I've been seconding guessing myself a lot too lately and thinking boy.
Labor Signs: Some mild contractions but that is all.
Symptoms: Some heartburn, some achy back pains. I hope that doesn't mean back labor.
Belly Button in or out? Out
Wedding rings on or off? Sometimes on, sometimes they are just to uncomfortable.
Looking forward to: Knowing gender.  But I think we are still days away from that. When they check me at the doctor this body wasn't really doing anything yet.  We shall see what happens.

36 Weeks

Baby Size: Baby is the size of a head of kale this week.
Total weight gain: 20ish pounds.  The most of any of my pregnancies
Maternity clothes? Same old stuff. I did get a few more pairs of leggings to get me through the next couple weeks.
Stretch marks? Nothing new
Sleep: Not the best. I'm having a really hard time going back to sleep if  I wake up.
Best moment this week: Seeing baby. I was measuring small again at my appointment so we checked in on Peanut.  Everything looks good as far as they can tell. Just a tiny babe. Makes me very curious to see what this little thing will end up weighing.
Miss Anything? Sleep, comfort.
Movement:  Yes, some days are slow other days are still very busy.
Food cravings:  Chocolate after lunch.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Coffee is still not my favorite.
Gender:  I have no idea anymore. Mark saw the ultrasound though and for sure thought boy. I'm so anxious to know.
Labor Signs: Some contractions but I still think they are mostly Braxton Hicks
Symptoms: Some heartburn, achy hips, SLEEPY!!
Belly Button in or out? Out
Wedding rings on or off? On unless I don't have enough water.
Looking forward to: The Doc this week, I have my group b test so they will also be checking other things for progress.  It's unbelievable to me that at the end of this week we will be considered full term.

35 Weeks

Baby Size: Baby is the size of a spaghetti squash.
Total weight gain: Not positive, around 19 to 20 pounds
Maternity clothes? Yes some but even those are uncomfortable at work. Pants just dig into this baby.
Stretch marks? Nothing new.
Sleep: Sleep is hit or miss, more miss this past week.
Best moment this week: Getting some things done at home and getting some of babies bag packed for the big day.
Miss Anything? Enjoying my coffee in the morning.
Movement:  Yes.
Food cravings:  Not really
Anything making you queasy or sick: COFFEE!
Gender:  I'm really feeling torn between boy and girl right now.
Labor Signs: No.
Symptoms: Heartburn, some hip pain, and some belly button zingers
Belly Button in or out? Mostly out.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Looking forward to:  Hearing that heartbeat again as we are now on weekly appointments and maybe even seeing a baby face.  I was measuring small last week so if I'm still small this week they said they might do an ultrasound just to check things out. We will see on Thursday.

34 Weeks

Baby Size: Baby is as big as a pineapple this week, and poking around like one too.
Total weight gain: Not positive, I think it depends on the day and how much water I am holding on to.
Maternity clothes? Same few outfits
Stretch marks? Nothing new
Sleep: Sleep has been the worst it has been in a while. Tossing and turning from side to side mostly and if I wake up my brain doesn't shut back off.
Best moment this week: Finally went out with my mom and grandma and got a few baby things. Now we can get some bags packed.
Miss Anything? Sleep
Movement:  Yes lots!
Food cravings:  Just one time things, this week was Chicken Alfredo, ate it and now I'm over it.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Coffee is still not great and I can't eat anything to sweet for breakfast.
Gender:  Still mostly think girl but I don't feel solid on either gender anymore.
Labor Signs: No.
Symptoms: Heartburn, general discomfort.
Belly Button in or out? Mostly out.
Wedding rings on or off? On but I can definitely tell when my fingers are puffy.
Looking forward to: Weekly doctors appointments now, not particularly excitedd for that part but hearing the heartbeat and seeing how this belly is growing.

Wednesday, September 25, 2019

33 Weeks

Baby Size: Baby is the size of a butternut squash.
Total weight gain: About 18 pounds at my appointment on Tuesday.
Maternity clothes? Yes, pants. All uncomfortable at this point.
Stretch marks? Nothing new.
Sleep: Sleep is on and off.  Sometimes great sometimes terrible
Best moment this week: We painted Blake's new bed so we could convert hers back into the crib.
Miss Anything? Comfort. And the ability to just stand up from the floor.
Movement: Lots of movement but also I have noticed a slow down.  I think between running out of room and a more consistent sleep wake cycle baby is just moving at certain times of day.
Food cravings:  Cookies! But I had some and now I'm over it.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Coffee still.
Gender:  Still mostly think girl.
Labor Signs: No.
Symptoms: Heartburn, braxton hicks, round ligament pain.
Belly Button in or out? Inish outish .
Wedding rings on or off? On, but my fingers have been more swollen this week.
Looking forward to: Getting the diaper bag I ordered and getting some things around. Its hard to think about packing when you don't know if a boy or girl will be coming home with you or if it's going to be a nice fall day or a blizzard.

32 Weeks

This photo isn't the greatest, we just home from camping, our house was getting dark and we were all still covered in dirt.  It was a fun weekend though so what more can I ask for.

Baby Size: Baby is the size of a cantaloupe this week.
Total weight gain: Not positive, guessing still sitting right around 16 to 18 pounds.
Maternity clothes? Pants and the same old shirts.  I can't wait to shop for some clothes for Christmas!!

Symptoms: Heartburn, swelling, baby hiccups all the time.
Belly Button in or out? Out

30 and 31 Weeks

Late to post last week as usual.  We got home late from camping on Monday and then it was a scramble to get the kids clean and back to school ready. Kindergarten is really taking it's toll on this Mom's routine. YEESH!

Baby Size:  At 30 weeks baby was about the size of a big bunch of broccoli and at 31 about the size of a coconut.
Total weight gain: I was at the doctor on Thursday and dropped a little of I was sitting at a total of 16 pounds.
Maternity clothes? Yes rotating most of the same outfits around now.
Stretch marks? Nothing new.
Sleep: Sleep is okay. Not always great, but not always terrible either.

Miss Anything? A really good sweaty hard workout.  I've really had to watch the heat at the gym this summer.
Movement: Yes lots.
Food cravings:  Some chocolate cover raisins!
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Coffee as been a little meh lately.
Gender:  I honestly don't know anymore. Most of me still feels like it's a girl but I've wondered more and more lately.  Plus baby had a super low heart rate so if old wives are true it might be a boy.
Labor Signs: No.
Symptoms: Some heartburn, round ligament pain, late day swelling, irritability...does that count as a symptom??
Belly Button in or out? Half and half.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Looking forward to: Tomorrow we go for a 3D/4D ultrasound. It will be fun to see that sweet face.

29 Weeks

Baby Size: Baby is as big as a head of cauliflower this week.
Total weight gain: I think probably sitting right around the same as last week.  I also think this just depends on how much water I drink.
Maternity clothes? same few pairs of pants.
Stretch marks? None new.
Sleep: Sleep as always has been hit or miss.
Best moment this week:  I got to spend some time with my kids for a long four day weekend. They also pushed me to my limits during this time.

Movement:  Lots.
Food cravings: Just an afternoon sweet tooth.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Not that I can think of.
Gender:  Still mostly thinking girl.
Labor Signs: No.
Symptoms: Some heartburn and baby hiccups constantly.  I've read a lot about baby hiccups and hair so we will see if there is any truth in that.
Belly Button in or out? a little of both.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Looking forward to: Beau started kindergarten and it was a rough couple of days for this momma.  I cried every day from Friday to Tuesday.  I think that are others things that made it emotional for me besides just sending my big kid out into the world, but I'm looking forward to a better next week. Beau loves school and is already doing better everyday with a new drop off. And we are off camping with some family for an end of summer trip today.

Baby Size: Baby is about the size of a pear this week.
Total weight gain: Not sure. Still trying to avoid the scale.

Baby 3 - 13 Weeks

Here we go again.  Baby  number three is due on November 8th, and while not totally prevented this little one came as a bit of a surprise all the same.  We took our time to wrap our heads around it and waited a while to tell people. I couldn't skip chalk board posts. They have been so fun to look back on.

Baby Size: Baby is the size of a lemon this week.
Total weight gain: I have no idea. I wasn't weighing myself regularly before we found out and certainly didn't start after.  I'm feeling like I should get my diet in check though.
Maternity clothes? None yet.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Sleep has been terrible for about the last month. Hopefully that will change.
Best moment this week: Starting these posts and celebrating Beau's sixth birthday.
Miss Anything? Cocktails, of course. Now that it is warming up I would love to join Mark on the patio for something cold and refreshing.
Movement: Maybe, I can't decide. Seems a little early for that.
Food cravings:  I wouldn't say cravings but I like Mexican food and tart foods. Think lemon flavored anything and pickles.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Water, unless it is ice ice cold.
Gender:  I think it's a girl
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Nausea, insomnia, acne, headaches.  Hopefully those go away.
Belly Button in or out? In
