40 Weeks

Not a great photo this week.  Our house was kinda dark and
the flash did weird things to the chalkboard. 

Baby Size: Baby is the size of a small pumpkin this week.
Total weight gain: 19 pounds at the doctor Monday.
Maternity clothes? No, same few long shirts.
Stretch marks? Nothing new, but the old ones are stretched!
Sleep: Pretty decent most nights. Some times I wake up and can't fall back to sleep though.
Best moment this week: Taking Beau to some of Cheyenne Frontier Days yesterday, mostly the carnival.  He could ride a lot more this year so it was really fun to watch him.
Miss Anything? Comfort. Overall discomfort really took its toll this week.
Movement:  Yes!
Food cravings:  Pancakes this week and I got one this morning!
Anything making you queasy or sick:  No
Gender:   Girl!
Labor Signs: Contractions on and off but nothing that lasts.
Symptoms: Back ache, heavy belly, discomfort, and still heartburn.
Belly Button in or out? Out
Wedding rings on or off? On
Looking forward to: Meeting baby girl! I didn't have to do a 40 week chalkboard with Beau, I guess we will see what happens.

39 Weeks

Baby Size: Baby is the size of a small watermelon this week.
Total weight gain: Not sure. I'm back at the doctor tomorrow so we will see.
Maternity clothes? No but I really need her to just show up. I'm sick of wearing the same thing over and over again.
Stretch marks? Nothing new.
Sleep: Sleep has been surprisingly good.
Best moment this week: Just spending some time as a family of three and soaking up time with Beau.
Miss Anything? My clothes. Comfort. A refreshing summer time beet!
Movement:  Yes!
Food cravings:  Ice cream.  It took all week to get one.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  No really.
Gender:   Baby girl!
Labor Signs: Yes, contractions on and off but nothing that lasts.  There were a few times I wondered if we would even be doing this post today.
Symptoms: Back ache, heartburn, a little pregnancy waddle.

Wedding rings on or off? On
Looking forward to: Meeting our girl!! You can come out any time sweet thing!!!

38 Weeks

Baby Size: Baby is the size of leek this week.
Total weight gain: I was down a pound this morning at my doctors appointment, sitting at 18 total. That is part of why I didn't post yesterday. I wanted to see how my appointment went today.
Maternity clothes? No, still just struggling with what I have!
Stretch marks? Nothing new.
Sleep: Sleep has actually been pretty decent. I've been able to keep my heartburn under control if I lay a little bit flatter.
Best moment this week: Playing with Beau in some new water toys since it was so hot out and my sister-in-law getting engaged!
Miss Anything? Comfort and an ice cold beer on these past few 90 degree days.
Movement: Yes, some days more than others. I think it just depends on how she's sitting in there.
Food cravings: A few ice cream cravings but nothing else.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really.
Gender:   Baby girl.
Labor Signs: I thought we might be headed to the hospital last Thursday. I had contractions for about two hours regularly. I've had a few more since but nothing to write home about. At my appointment today I was 2 centimeters dilated and around 40 percent effaced. So it really could be anytime.
Symptoms: Still occasional heartburn, some back and round ligament pain.
Belly Button in or out? Out
Wedding rings on or off? On
Looking forward to: A baby! I'm hoping for Thursday!!

37 Weeks

Baby Size: Baby is the size of  a winter melon this week.  I've never seen or heard of that...More important.  She's full term so if she decides to make her appearance all should be well! I had to have an ultrasound because I measured closer to 35 weeks. (I did something similar with Beau.) They did find that she is a tiny thing measuring in the 20th percentile but everything looked fine and they were not concerned as long as she keeps growing.
Total weight gain: Hanging strong at 19 pounds.
Maternity clothes? Nope, just the same four shirts....okay that's dramatic but it seems like I only have four that fit.
Stretch marks? Nothing new. We might make it til the end.
Sleep: Sleep was horrible this week.  Between Beau having a tummy bug, allergies and my own acid reflux/heartburn I was lucky to get two solid hours at a time.
Best moment this week: Getting to see baby girl. Also, celebrating my birthday with my boys and friend and family.
Miss Anything? Comfort and sleep. I thinking I figured out a way to sleep and alleviate some of the heartburn so maybe that will help this week.
Movement: Yes.
Food cravings:  Nothing really
Anything making you queasy or sick: Coffee, I take a cup to work every morning and I very rarely make it through the whole thing
Gender:   Girl
Labor Signs: Some minor contractions. I went from 0 centimeters dilated and 20 percent effaced at my previous appointment to 1 centimeter and 60 percent on Thursday, a nine day difference.
Symptoms: Just usual heartburn and general discomfort.

Wedding rings on or off? On
Looking forward to: Fireworks with Beau! We are getting ready to leave the house now! It's our last holiday as a family of three.
