7 months

Well, as usual, I'm late in writing our monthly update. In my defense, we have been very busy.  With Thanksgiving and having family in town it was a big week for our little guy!! He was a champ though and made it through Thanksgiving, Black Friday Shopping, and his first Christmas Parade!!

You can also call me a liar because Beau still has no teeth!!!!  I'm beginning to wonder if he will ever get any! He still shows signs of teething but to no avail.  He is also not crawling but he is rocking on his knees now. The moving around business is only a matter of time for our boy, thankfully; his awesome Dad built us a nice baby gate so we shouldn't be taking any tumbles when the time does finally come!

With no checkups this month I'm not sure where Beau is at for his height and weight but I would guess that he is right around 18 pounds and maybe 29-30 inches long.  He is hitting all kinds of developmental milestones, he's clapping, sitting up (although still wobbly at times,) standing with assistance, showing major excitement at things, and jabbering a whole new range of baby jabbers.  He eats like pro and we haven't found anything yet that he doesn't really like.  He is still only eating a "solid" food once a day but we may have to bump that up as he is seeming more and more hungry to me.  We will just roll with the punches on that and see where our eating adventures take us next.

I'm excited for this next month and to see what kind of joy and merriment we get with all of the Christmas hustle and bustle.  Baby firsts really are the best!

Beau tried out his Jump Up for the first time this month.
He is still figuring it out!

We took Christmas Card Pictures. {Coming to an Address Near you.}

Naptime.

Grandma and Grandpa spoiled me and gave me a Popsicle.

Shocked at the Black Friday Madness.

Bright eyed and not so bushy tailed at the Christmas Parade.

My little family!

So sleepy and grumpy.
Sometimes you have all you can handle.

Better Late Than Never. Beau's Six Month Update

Half a year? How is that possible?  Has anyone found where the time is going yet?  I asked you last time if you found it to please let me know, ANYBODY?  All the same, here we are, 6 months, 1 week, and 1 day. Late because keeping up with this blog is a lot harder than I ever thought it would or should be.  It's a work in progress I guess.

Beau is getting along perfectly.  As spoiled and loved as ever.  At his sixth month check up he was 16.12 pounds and 28.5 inches long.  This put him in the 25-50th percentile for weight and above the 95th for length.  He's just long and skinny!

He still isn't crawling but tries so hard and becomes so furious.  In due time kid!  We don't have anything teeth either, although he has certainly shown signs of teething.  He's had fevers, rosy cheeks, and diaper rash for a few days (for the first time ever.)  I guess I jumped the gun in last months update.  I was certain that we would have conquered one of these feats!! Oh well, let them be little right?

Mark went hunting for a little while in October too so Beau and I had a lot of time on our hands.  If you really ever have time on your hands with a child. Other than that it's been a pretty laid back last few weeks. I'm excited for the next few months, my two favorite holidays are right around the corner and I cannot wait to enjoy them as a family of three this year.

One of my favorites.

When your turkey jammies fit a month to early and won't for "Turkey Day"

Cuddling with Sophie

Great Grandma let's me crawl all over her counters

Snoozin after a long day of shopping with the girls.

Morning coffee and smiles with Momma.

Later Mom, I'm going to find my Dad!

Washcloths, keeping babies entertained at bath time.

More time with Momma.

Suit and Tie

When dad finally did get home, he had a hard time finding Beau!

And an extra day, Halloween, as Charlie Brown.
This one was just two awesome to wait a whole month to share!

Until our next update!!

5 Months

5 months....Seriously? Already?  Where is time going? Where has it gone?  If any of you find it can you let me know how I can either slow it down or turn it off!!!!!

I can't wrap my head around the fact that this sweet boy has already been with us for so long!  Month five of course brought plenty of new adventures.  Beau is sleeping better through the night again (with much thanks from his momma of course). We gave him his first bites of "solid" food, sweet potatoes are so far the major favorite.  And few went on our first day trip to the mountains, among either things.

We have got such a little boy on our hands.  I've got a sneaking suspicion that we are going to have a mover in no time at all.  I also suspect that once that happens we will have a little boy that is into everything.  Time to baby proof!  We are also experience a lot more attitude and discover what a voice Beau has.  It's so fun to hear him jabber and squawk at everything.

We think our little guy has been working on teeth too. Nothing has broke through yet but he has been running small fevers on and off and had been a little more fussy than normal.  He seems to be more of him happy self over the last few days though so hopefully they are where they want to be for a while.

Here are a few of the other things we did this month, in photos.

I get to sit at the table with Mom and Dad now at dinner.

I can sleep how I want instead of always on my back.

Spending some tummy time with Dad.  If I could just figure out my legs.

Showing of my cute smile.

And my cute tongue!

It got cold enough one night I had to wear my fuzzy bear hat.

But in the mountains I got to wear this.

And play in the dirt.

Then I needed a nap.

Then a change of clothes and another nap.

Mom and Dad went to the Red Sox game without me.
But I cheered from Grandma and Grandpa's house and
they did bring me back a collector Todd Helton Bobble head.

We can't wait to see what the next month brings.  If I have any guesses I think it could be the biggest month of changes yet!

4 Month Stats and a Laugh

WOW!  I've gotten really bad about this blogging stuff.  I tell myself all the time that I need to be more consistent but between work and hanging out with Beau at night it is hard to just sit down and do it.  Especially at night because Beau is too fun for words!  I promise I will try
 to be better.....

We did find out that he is growing like a weed.  At his four month check up he was 14.95 pounds and 26 inches long.  For his weight he was still just under the 50th percentile and for his height he is now between the 75th and 90th percentile.  He is such a tall skinny little boy.  Don't get me wrong though,  the boy has still got some seriously cute baby rolls.

Until I can sit down and write some more and share some more pictures and videos I will leave you with the short video that we got of Beau's first night of giggling at us.  The BEST!

4 Months

Wow! How the time around here is flying.  Beau turned four months on Friday and yesterday made one year from the day I told Mark that we were expecting. It's crazy to think that a year ago the cute smiling boy above was just a poppy seed in my belly.  We love him more than we could have ever imagined!

Month four has brought yet again many changes. Besides the obvious fact that Beau is growing like a weed we've hit a lot of other milestones as well.  He's got rolling over down both ways for the most part.  He has trouble when rolling from his back to his tummy because he hasn't quite figured out how to get his arm out from under his body.  He much stronger with his head and neck now and can sit with assistance in his Bumbo chair or if somebody just holds him.  Hand coordination is much better and he will hold his toys and his bottle.  He can't always find his mouth with the bottle but he knows where it goes and it ticks him off when he can't get it into his mouth fast enough.  He's also discovered his feet and toes and plays with them quite often.  Our favorite milestone this month though...full blown giggles!  Our little boy is developing quite the personality with a little attitude mixed in. He's happy, very vocal, and just so fun!

Beau also had his first sleep over with Grandma and Grandpa this month too.  Mark and I went with his family on our annual Deadwood, SD trip for the Kool Deadwood Nights Car Show.  Beau got spoiled with new jammies and lots of hugs and kisses.  We missed him terribly, I could've cried more when we picked him than when we dropped him off I was so excited to see him.  All in all I think the trip was harder on me that it was on him and I'm happy to report that we picked up a smiling boy who still knew exactly who Momma and Daddy were! I think it will be a while before his next sleep over though!

We go for more shots and a check up on Tuesday so I will be back to report his height and weight and probably share a ton of pictures.

Three Months

THREE MONTHS!!! Seriously???  This sweet boy is growing so fast.

Month three has brought a lot of changes for our little family.  Mom had to go back to work and Beau is now in daycare.  Thankfully we love where he is at during the day and the transition has been pretty smooth. Minus the first few days, I could've cried all day if nobody had been around!

On top of all of this we have had some much better firsts.  Last night, right on Beau's three month birthday he rolled over.  Of course we were not prepared so we don't have a video.  I think it happened by pure accident, and he is yet to do it again.  I'm sure it won't be long now before he's rolling all over the place though.  Tonight he gave us a little bit of a giggle.  I did capture it on video! I will post it once I get it uploaded! Probably the biggest accomplishment though is that Beau is sleeping through the night!!!!  So helpful when you have to get up and actually get yourself to work on time! Sometimes he fusses a bit but usually you can get him right back to sleep.

I'll let his pictures tell you the rest of his firsts!

He tried on his first pair of shoes....
Clearly they were huge and he couldn't move.
He experienced his first bouts of summer heat...
 He wore his sweet shades...

 He got pass out sleepy...

We celebrated the Fourth of July...

We went to our first Cheyenne Frontier Days Parade...

He perfected some funny faces.

 He practiced sitting up....

Grandma and Grandpa Brown wore him out...

 We tried on some hats....

We took a four generations picture...

We had a lot of fun!

Everything is so entertaining when it comes to this little boy.  He is so happy and so loved! We shall see what kind of new stuff we can learn by month four!
