5 Months

5 months....Seriously? Already?  Where is time going? Where has it gone?  If any of you find it can you let me know how I can either slow it down or turn it off!!!!!

I can't wrap my head around the fact that this sweet boy has already been with us for so long!  Month five of course brought plenty of new adventures.  Beau is sleeping better through the night again (with much thanks from his momma of course). We gave him his first bites of "solid" food, sweet potatoes are so far the major favorite.  And few went on our first day trip to the mountains, among either things.

We have got such a little boy on our hands.  I've got a sneaking suspicion that we are going to have a mover in no time at all.  I also suspect that once that happens we will have a little boy that is into everything.  Time to baby proof!  We are also experience a lot more attitude and discover what a voice Beau has.  It's so fun to hear him jabber and squawk at everything.

We think our little guy has been working on teeth too. Nothing has broke through yet but he has been running small fevers on and off and had been a little more fussy than normal.  He seems to be more of him happy self over the last few days though so hopefully they are where they want to be for a while.

Here are a few of the other things we did this month, in photos.

I get to sit at the table with Mom and Dad now at dinner.

I can sleep how I want instead of always on my back.

Spending some tummy time with Dad.  If I could just figure out my legs.

Showing of my cute smile.

And my cute tongue!

It got cold enough one night I had to wear my fuzzy bear hat.

But in the mountains I got to wear this.

And play in the dirt.

Then I needed a nap.

Then a change of clothes and another nap.

Mom and Dad went to the Red Sox game without me.
But I cheered from Grandma and Grandpa's house and
they did bring me back a collector Todd Helton Bobble head.

We can't wait to see what the next month brings.  If I have any guesses I think it could be the biggest month of changes yet!

4 Month Stats and a Laugh

WOW!  I've gotten really bad about this blogging stuff.  I tell myself all the time that I need to be more consistent but between work and hanging out with Beau at night it is hard to just sit down and do it.  Especially at night because Beau is too fun for words!  I promise I will try
 to be better.....

We did find out that he is growing like a weed.  At his four month check up he was 14.95 pounds and 26 inches long.  For his weight he was still just under the 50th percentile and for his height he is now between the 75th and 90th percentile.  He is such a tall skinny little boy.  Don't get me wrong though,  the boy has still got some seriously cute baby rolls.

Until I can sit down and write some more and share some more pictures and videos I will leave you with the short video that we got of Beau's first night of giggling at us.  The BEST!

4 Months

Wow! How the time around here is flying.  Beau turned four months on Friday and yesterday made one year from the day I told Mark that we were expecting. It's crazy to think that a year ago the cute smiling boy above was just a poppy seed in my belly.  We love him more than we could have ever imagined!

Month four has brought yet again many changes. Besides the obvious fact that Beau is growing like a weed we've hit a lot of other milestones as well.  He's got rolling over down both ways for the most part.  He has trouble when rolling from his back to his tummy because he hasn't quite figured out how to get his arm out from under his body.  He much stronger with his head and neck now and can sit with assistance in his Bumbo chair or if somebody just holds him.  Hand coordination is much better and he will hold his toys and his bottle.  He can't always find his mouth with the bottle but he knows where it goes and it ticks him off when he can't get it into his mouth fast enough.  He's also discovered his feet and toes and plays with them quite often.  Our favorite milestone this month though...full blown giggles!  Our little boy is developing quite the personality with a little attitude mixed in. He's happy, very vocal, and just so fun!

Beau also had his first sleep over with Grandma and Grandpa this month too.  Mark and I went with his family on our annual Deadwood, SD trip for the Kool Deadwood Nights Car Show.  Beau got spoiled with new jammies and lots of hugs and kisses.  We missed him terribly, I could've cried more when we picked him than when we dropped him off I was so excited to see him.  All in all I think the trip was harder on me that it was on him and I'm happy to report that we picked up a smiling boy who still knew exactly who Momma and Daddy were! I think it will be a while before his next sleep over though!

We go for more shots and a check up on Tuesday so I will be back to report his height and weight and probably share a ton of pictures.
